Local community business patron Blackbird Real Estate, area artist Chuy Ayala, and the Blythe Chamber of Commerce’s “Adopt-A-Street” program have delivered a new piece of art to the Palo Verde Valley, as a mural on Main St. was unveiled earlier this year. A special City of Blythe Centennial mural homage painted by neighboring Cibola, Ariz., artist Jeff Hess was unveiled as part of the day’s festivities at the local Community Center on Saturday, July 23.
Blythe’s Colorado River mural – by artist Gabriel Pecina – is on the S. 2nd St. side of the hometown Short Stop Discount Liquor (at 300 E. Hobsonway). The scene depicts fishing, water sports, the Great Colorado, mountains, and more.
